The decision to delay the exam provides students with a crucial 30-day extension. According to official sources, the postponement was made to ensure better administrative arrangements across all provincial testing centers and to accommodate students whose preparations were disrupted by the recent heavy monsoon rains and flooding across Pakistan.
How to Download Your Roll Number Slip
New roll number slips reflecting the September 20 date will be issued shortly. Here is how you can download yours once they are live:
- Visit the official PMDC portal at pmdc.pk.
- Click on the "MDCAT 2026 Roll No. Slip" portal on the homepage.
- Enter your CNIC, B-Form, or Passport number.
- Download and print your slip. Remember: You will not be allowed inside the examination hall without a physical copy of this slip and your original CNIC/B-Form.
Passing Criteria for MBBS and BDS (2026)
There are no changes to the PMDC curriculum or the paper pattern, which remains 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with no negative marking. However, students must meet the strict minimum passing percentages to be eligible for admissions:
- MBBS Admissions: Minimum 55% passing marks.
- BDS Admissions: Minimum 50% passing marks.
